硫酸亚铁是化学式为FeSO4的无机化合物，又称黑矾、绿矾外观为水绿或蓝绿色结晶。是在硫酸法生产一种稀有色金属产品的过程中产出的副产品。硫酸亚铁是一种常用的絮凝处理剂，在污水处理中起到絮凝处理的效果，可以去除掉污水中大量的悬浮物，去除一部分的cod和脱色。水中加入一定量的硫酸亚铁可调节碱性水的PH值，硫酸亚铁与水中的悬浮物有机结合，并迅速沉淀。硫酸亚铁主要应用于水质净化和工业废水处理，同时具有杀菌作用。硫酸亚铁无水物为白色粉末，与水作用则变为蓝绿色。
